It was fine, and honestly, sort of fabulous when the kids were little and all operations (and messes) could be confined to the same room. Eventually, we wanted more functional kitchen space, though. (I don’t need to detail the all-wrong aromas emanating from the practice jerseys of three boys lying where we cook!)
