IN SPIRIT Powder Room Stuff

Hold the Phone!

Sometimes, little genius things come along. Like the invention of toilet paper … or cell phones.

Now imagine those worlds colliding. Because, let’s face it, that phone goes everywhere with you.

When we renovated our powder room, my husband thought this toilet paper holder with shelf was borderline ridiculous unnecessary. I consider him a tech-savvy individual. But like him explaining the iPhone to me in 2007 … he couldn’t see the magic when I was bubbling over about this utterly practical piece.

A toilet paper holder with shelf is perfect for holding a phone.

Rest-Room

It would prove to be as clutch as I imagined. (Even he admits it). We had found a wonderfully tiny vanity for the powder room. But the sink area didn’t have space for a phone to sit on the side without fear of it hitting the floor, or slipping into sudsy water. It is not a phone-friendly vanity!

For that reason, every time I walk into use the powder room, I’m thankful for this little internet find — a classy, matte black and wood, toilet paper holder with shelf! It holds a phone perfectly, and even has a raised edge. No chance it’s going to ring and buzz right off the side! The exact one we bought is no longer available, so I ordered a similar one ($15.99) for another bathroom reno we’re doing.

You can anchor it in, or use command strips to attach it. We ended up doing both. At first we just did the anchors, but my three boys are a little … harsh, shall we say? It had gotten so loose I was easily able to apply a couple Command strip adhesives to the back without removing it entirely. Now, it’s as sturdy as it was on day one. For less than $20, you can’t beat this item for utility!
