Chalk Painting Basement Walls: Aubusson Blue
Chalk painting basement walls? Why not! This was a fun excuse to use a gorgeous color by Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Her Aubusson Blue took the basement’s original baby blue up a notch. (Seriously, it is a rich and gorgeous hue — I could see kitchen cabinets, powder room walls or a bookcase in this color!) The low fumes and chair-rail heights also allowed the boys to man the rollers on this job.
After ‘priming’ it… which is using the side of the chalk to rub horizontally then vertically over the entire surface and wiping it off (this fills all the pores evenly), it was time to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
Ohhhh, how I miss those little faces!
