The old deck was brown and typical for a woodsy setting. I could take it or leave it. We occasionally ate meals on it in the summer. That’s it.

In this overhaul, we went for a coastal vibe deck using hues of blue and white, and a modern geometric rug to anchor it. Now it’s a whole ‘nother room of the house. I want coffee out there in the morning, and to sip Sauvignon Blanc when the solar light strings flick on in the evening.
